Sole salt water is a solution made by dissolving natural Himalayan salt in water until the water is fully saturated, offering various health benefits.

Let’s Talk Ingredients
Sole Salt Water is usually made by mixing pure water with a specific type of salt, such as Himalayan salt or sea salt, in a particular ratio.
- Salt — it’s important to use high-quality sea salt or Himalayan pink salt for making sole saltwater. Look for unrefined options free from additives and preferably in their natural, raw form. These salts contain a wide range of minerals and trace elements that can benefit your health.
- Water — use filtered water to make Sole Salt Water. Filtered water helps remove impurities and contaminants, ensuring a purer final product.

Instructions – Overview
Here’s a breakdown of how to get started on your Sole Saltwater journey (more detailed instructions are in the recipe card):
▶︎ To make sole saltwater, you should fill a glass jar with salt and then add water until the salt can no longer dissolve and starts collecting at the bottom. This results in saturated saltwater, which is often used as a health remedy.
▶︎ Typically, you can start with ½ teaspoon of sole water mixed into a glass of regular water (this can be warm water) each morning before breakfast., adjusting the amount as needed based on your body’s response.
NOTE: Always consult with a healthcare provider before making significant changes to your health regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions.

Sole Health Benefits

Some believe drinking Sole can help balance electrolytes, aid digestion, support hydration, and provide trace minerals. However, scientific research on the specific health benefits of Sole is limited. It’s always advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or wellness routine. Here are some of the key advantages:
▶︎ Hydration and Electrolyte Balance: Drinking sole water helps maintain proper hydration and electrolyte balance. The minerals in Himalayan salt, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, are crucial for various bodily functions and help regulate fluid balance.
▶︎ Detoxification: Sole water is believed to support detoxification by aiding the body’s natural elimination processes. The trace minerals can help flush out toxins and impurities.
▶︎ Improved Digestion: It can stimulate digestive enzymes, improving digestion and nutrient absorption. It may also help reduce acid reflux and balance stomach acid levels.
▶︎ Skin Health: Sole water’s minerals can enhance skin health by promoting a clear complexion and reducing inflammation. Some people use it topically to alleviate conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
▶︎ Bone Health: The minerals, particularly calcium and magnesium, support bone density and strength, potentially helping to prevent osteoporosis.
▶︎ Improved Sleep: Due to its mineral content, sole water may help regulate sleep patterns. Magnesium, for example, is known for promoting relaxation and better sleep quality.
▶︎ Reduced Muscle Cramps: The magnesium and potassium in sole water can help prevent and alleviate muscle cramps and spasms.
▶︎ Blood Sugar Regulation: Some studies suggest that sole water may help regulate blood sugar levels, which can be beneficial for individuals with diabetes or those at risk of developing the condition.
▶︎ Balancing pH Levels: It is thought to help balance the body’s pH levels by providing alkaline minerals, which can counteract acidity and support overall health.
▶︎ Boosting Energy Levels: The minerals in sole water can enhance energy levels by supporting metabolic processes and reducing fatigue.

Equipment
- Ceramic Container - or other no-rust container
- Brita - or other water purifier
Ingredients
- 100 grams Himalayan salt
- 300 ml Filtered Water
Instructions
- Start with a clean glass jar or ceramic container. Make sure it’s large enough to hold the desired amount of sole saltwater.
- Measure out the salt. The general ratio for making sole saltwater is 1 part salt to 3 parts water. For example, if you want to make 1 cup of sole saltwater, you would use ¼ cup of salt.
- Add the salt to the jar or container.
- Pour filtered water into the jar, leaving some space at the top. Use 3 times the amount of water as compared to the salt you added. For example, if you used ¼ cup of salt, pour ¾ cup of filtered water.
- Stir the mixture well with a wooden or plastic spoon until the salt is dissolved. Make sure all the salt is fully dissolved to create a concentrated sole solution.
- Close the lid of the jar or cover the container with a clean cloth to prevent any contaminants from entering. Let the jar sit undisturbed for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, check the jar. If there is still undissolved salt at the bottom, it means the water has reached its saturation point and can’t dissolve any more salt. Your sole saltwater is now ready to use.
- Store the jar in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight or heat. Sole saltwater can be kept at room temperature indefinitely.
- Drink this mixture in the morning on an empty stomach. Begin with 1/2 teaspoon of sole salt water diluted in a glass of water and observe how your body responds before adjusting the quantity.
Notes
- The taste of sole saltwater is quite salty (like you would expect saltwater to taste from the sea). To minimize this, add at least 200ml of cold water and give a good stir before drinking.
- If you notice undissolved salt at the bottom of the jar after 24 hours, it means the water has reached its saturation point and can’t dissolve any more salt. This is normal, and the solution is still usable.
- If you’re new to consuming sole salt water, it’s recommended that you start with smaller amounts and gradually increase the dosage over time. Begin with one teaspoon of sole salt water diluted in a glass of water and observe how your body responds before adjusting the quantity.
- Sole salt water can detoxify the body, so drinking plenty of plain filtered water throughout the day is essential to stay adequately hydrated.
- Many people prefer to drink sole salt water in the morning on an empty stomach. This allows the body to absorb the minerals and electrolytes efficiently. However, you can consume it at a time that suits you best, as long as it’s diluted in water.
- Pay attention to how your body responds to Sole Saltwater. Some individuals may initially experience a mild detox reaction or changes in bowel movements.
- If you have any underlying health conditions, are taking medications, or are unsure about incorporating Sole Saltwater into your routine, consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific needs.
- A 1.5-gram serving of sole water contains about 18% of the daily recommended sodium value. While this is a small amount, drinking Sole Salt Water regularly can still help boost your nutrient levels.
