A luscious Creamy Fig Milkshake that's as satisfying as it is wholesome, that even kiddies will love. This indulgent dessert captures the essence of the Mediterranean but is also popular in India, which is why it's also called Anjeer Shake. The blend is tasty; it harmonizes the delicate sweetness of ripe figs with the richness of ice cream.
Wash and slice 2 figs into small rounds of 2-3 mm. Then, wash and chop the remaining four.
Add the chopped figs, vanilla ice cream, vanilla, condensed milk, and milk to the blender and blend until creamy. If the shake is too thick, add more milk in small increments until you reach your desired consistency.
Pour the milkshake into the glasses halfway, then add some cream and push the sliced figs around the sides. Repeat until the glasses are full.Note: You can have as many cream layers as you wish, but we recommend keeping it to preferably 2, max 3.
Topping
Top with some whipping cream - optional.
120 grams Whipping Cream
Wash and chop the figs reserved for the topping. Add to the top for decor.Note: For decor, add some sprigs of mint or basil.
Here are some top tips to help you succeed in making the best Creamy Fig Milkshake like a pro:
Chill your drinking glasses immediately after drizzling them with chocolate sauce. This keeps the milkshake cooler for longer.
Letting ice cream sit at room temperature for 10 minutes will help the milkshake blend easier.
Avoid getting too vigorous with the blending.
When blending, start with the lowest speed, then slowly work up to medium speed. Blend for 30 to 40 seconds.
Add more milk or less milk to adjust the thickness of the shake.
Use fresh, ripe, and sweet figs; it's okay if the skins have slight bruises or are torn.
Dairy / Vegan: Swap the dairy and cream for dairy-free milk alternatives or your favorite.
Ice Cream: Swap the vanilla ice cream for Chocolate Ice Cream. This is an excellent treat for the kiddies.
Figs: Using other fruits to vary the milkshake is an excellent option. Some other fruits you might want to consider are fresh dates, bananas, kiwis, and strawberries.
Protein: For a high-protein milkshake, add your favorite vanilla protein powder and some extra milk of your choice to thin it out.
